The City of Pinellas Park will kickoff Pride In The Park week with the residential weekend cleanup scheduled for Saturday, March 10th. Once known as Sparkle Day, the event allows residents to demonstrate pride in their community by improving the appearance of their property. Residents may dispose of household trash and yard waste at one of eight drop-off sites located throughout the City.
Drop-off sites will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The drop-off sites will accept only HOUSEHOLD TRASH AND YARD WASTE DEBRIS for disposal. Each drop-off site will have large open-top containers, one for household trash such as paper, cardboard, wood, bedding etc...) and one for yard waste debris. These drop-off sites will not accept food waste. Please separate your yard waste from your household trash and deposit the material into the appropriate containers. The yard waste will be recycled into mulch.
FREE RECYCLED MULCH is
available at the City’s brush site located at 12950 40th Street. Please bring your own shovel and container and take as much mulch as you like. The site is open Monday-Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Please do not bring items such as food waste, automotive engine blocks, tires (tires without rims only, accepted at the NW Corner of 78th Ave. & 60th St and Home Depot Parking Lot), automotive and marine batteries, used motor oil, antifreeze, or hazardous wastes to the drop-off locations for disposal. Household bulk items such as dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, water heaters, and ranges may be placed at the curb for collection on your regular trash collection days.
Refrigerators must have the doors removed or padlocked. For additional information about the Saturday cleanup, please call the Utility Billing Division at (727) 369-0690, or visit their website at www.pinellas-park.com.
Together we can make a difference, so please do your part to support Pride In The Park and your community.
