Office of the Chief
The Chief of Police is responsible for the overall leadership and oversight of law enforcement services provided to those that live, work, and visit Pinellas Park. In addition, the Chief’s Office directly oversees Internal Affairs, Public Information, and the agency’s Honor Guard.

Criminal Investigation Section
The Criminal Investigations Section, (C.I.S.) is responsible for conducting secondary investigations to felony crimes committed in Pinellas Park. Cases are assigned to detectives based on solvability factors and the seriousness of the crime.

Vice & Narcotics
The Pinellas Park Police Vice and Narcotic Section is tasked with initiating and conducting covert investigations of crimes related to drugs, racketeering, prostitution, gambling, and alcohol.

Victim Assistance
The Pinellas Park Police Department is committed to providing information and needed assistance, where practical to the victims and witnesses who pass through the criminal justice system.

Operations Division
The Operations Division is is responsible for the preliminary investigation of calls for police service.

Patrol
The patrol section is a component of the Operations Division. This section comprises the largest segment of the department with regard to the number of personnel, equipment, and budget.

Special Operations
The section is made up of the three specialized units; Traffic Unit, Police Services Dog Unit, and a Crossing Guard Coordinator. The section is supervised by a sergeant appointed by the Chief.

SWAT
The Department maintains a Special Weapons and Tactics Team (S.W.A.T.) which is a specially trained unit equipped to respond to high risk situations. Its main purpose is the protection of citizens and police personnel.

This division is subdivided into three sections: Records, Communications, and Special Services to best support the Pinellas Park community.
