District Special Events

The Community Redevelopment District is the site of numerous special events each year.  These events bring hundreds of thousands of people to the downtown area and generate interest in the District.

The CRA Police Unit co-hosts several community events including:

  • Citizens Police Academy
  • National Night Out
  • Operation Medicine Cabinet
  • “Treat Trail” at the Shoppes at Park Place, where businesses play host to safe, family-friendly Halloween celebrations.

Each month the Pinellas Park Fire Fighters host Movies in the Park at England Brothers Park.

Country in the Park

England Brothers Park is also the location for the City’s annual Country in the Park festival and trade show, a free event held each March that includes musical performances by nationally-known and local musicians, arts and crafts, pony rides, a car show, children’s activities and much more. On the evening preceding Country in the Park, the Firefighters host the annual Chili Blaze, a chili cook-off to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This event also offers live music, over 50 different chili teams competing for the "Chili Champion's" trophy, and a large fireworks display.

Pinellas Country Fair & Rodeo

The City now also participates in hosting the annual Pinellas Country Fair at England Brothers Park, complete with its very own Rodeo.

Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center

The Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center, hosts a full season of sold-out concerts; for additional information, see the monthly calendar on the City of Pinellas Park home page. In addition, the Center hosts regular performances by the Pinellas Park Civic Orchestra and Matinee Opera Players.

Holiday Parade

The City's historic downtown, located along the Park Boulevard corridor, is the site of the annual December Holiday Parade, a community favorite.

Pinellas Arts Village

Beginning in 2015, the downtown also became the site of a new and growing Pinellas Arts Village, which offers the Fourth Saturday Art Walk during January-November, and a special Holiday Art Walk in December, as well as individual shows and events hosted by resident artists and creative businesses.
